Really enjoyed our lunch! Sizzling rice had fresh veg, chicken and shrimp tasty. Wings were excellent. Clay pot with eggplant and tofu also quite good. We'll be back.

Bad food, unfriendly. If the intended message was '....Please don't ever come back...', it could not be more clear.

Month-long Chinese food craving finally satisfied, thank you Shun Feng.I have been on the search for some veggie chow mein in Santa Cruz and after being so, so disappointed by Yan Flower (why must you exist just steps away from my house, taunting me with what I know will only lead to great disappointment?!) I must say I am happy with the chow mein at Shun Feng. It actually tastes like the chow mein I am used to with lots of good stuff in it. Certainly pricier than other take-out places but worth it, I think.I haven't thoroughly explored the other options, but this place will do just fine for now when I'm craving Chinese.

We have been here before and thought it was a pleasant experience. This last time the waitress appeared very impatient, even though there were few customers.I ordered an iced tea that tasted like water.I ordered the curry chicken clay pot and Hong Kong shrimp chow mein. When the chow mein appeared the noodles were so hard you needed a knife to break them apart.Aside from this I noticed a different meat on the plate.I asked about this and they said Hong Kong comes with pork, chicken, shrimp.I don't eat pork and I definitely asked for shrimp. They didn't even offer to replace it.So I ate the curry my friend ate the chow mein It had 2 small shrimp, chicken skin and pork knows what.I will not return

Save yourself! Don't go here at all.I went here for some veggie sizzling rice soup and veggie potstickers but was deeply disappointed. My soup was an awkward orange color and my rice was burnt and tasted like old oil. I gave it a try and it was super disgusting. The potstickers had a suspicious mixture in the middle and the dough on the outside was raw. Not to mention all their food is drenched with a lot of the old oil they use.The service isn't any better either. The lady at the front counter was rude and kept ignoring us. This place is also very over priced!Stay away!

I feel that you're better off going to any other restaurant besides this place. It was practically my party and another family that was in the restaurant during dinnertime, but it felt practically empty.First of all, the dishes took a long time to come out and we only ordered four. Not to mention there were barely any customers at the restaurant. There was a deep fried salmon dish that we ordered, which was alright, but lacked a lot of flavor. I actually don't remember the rest of the dishes that I ate, which kind of hints that there was nothing really too special about what I ate that day.Sorry to be blunt, but this just isn't the place for anyone to dine at, especially Asians who are expecting to eat authentic Chinese food.

I had been eating here off and on for a little while since moving close by. Very inconstant. Seems to have gotten progressively worse. Pot stickers were puffy and soggy, Mongolian beef was not very good at all with almost a burnt taste and the hot and sour soup was awful. One sip and threw it out. No one in my family wanted it. I would say it was the worst hot and sour soup I have ever had. Disgusting. But what really turns me off about this place, and why I have decided not to return is the rude woman who works there. I just won't take that kind attitude to get bad Chinese food anymore I don't care how hungry or desperate I am.

I must have ordered the wrong thing because I feel like others are reviewing another restaurant. Combo chow mein was ok, sesame chicken was flavorless and over cooked. Service was unattentive and cold.

We came here for a dim sum lunch. Previously we had been here for dinner only. (which was acceptable for Santa Cruz but clearly not comparable to San Francisco- even a hole in the wall place in SF or the new Chinatown) The restaurant appears somewhat dated but that was ok. The dim sum menu is very very SMALL. No egg tarts, no pot stickers, almost no steamed dumplings period. The porridge was fine and had some of the "thousand year old eggs" in it. The pork shui mai were average sized and contained several kernels of yellow corn. The texture of the meat with the corn was not pleasing to the palate. The shrimp ha gow was definitely shrimp but basically a chunk of shrimp with the skin of shui mai attached to it. WEIRD. It had no real flavor to it. Steamed BBQ pork buns were doughy, chewy, and contained a very small amount of meat in it. The breaded part was also partially dried out and hard - freezer burn or microwave? They also offered chicken mushroom steamed buns which were beige in color. The first one that a guest ate, had no chicken in it. The waitress told us that must have been a mistake...wrong bun on the wrong plate...really? One other thing worth mentioning is the chow fun. It looked ok..and was the best part of the meal although some of the noodles were dried up and hard. I am assuming it is because the noodles weren't packaged properly in the fridge and dried out due to exposure to the air. Service at the restaurant is fine. They drop off food you ordered.

The food here reminds me of home. I'm from the Bay Area so I have high standards for Chinese food and the other places here suck. Shun Feng always its the spot. The delivery is quick (20-30 minutes upon calling) and the food is always hot and delicious. Most of the staff are pretty nice too. I also wish more people knew about this place.
